cardio & core tabata training

Group Exercise Class Spotlight

You can do anything for 20 seconds, right? Then try Tabata, the latest hot trend in fitness.

Developed in Japan, Tabata works on the principle of high-intensity interval training. It alternates 20 seconds of high-intensity exercise with 10 seconds of recovery in four-minute cycles—eight reps in each cycle.

Sounds easy, right? Actually, most people say it’s the hardest workout they’ve ever done. But it’s worth it. Tabata can increase your aerobic capacity, anerobic capacity and resting metabolic rate—plus help you burn more fat than a traditional cardio workout!

Try it for yourself and join us for our newest Group Exercise class, Cardio & Core Tabata Training. Check our Main Studio schedule for current dates and times.

Is Tabata right for you? Talk to a personal trainer about Tabata and other fat-burning exercises. Meet our personal trainers and schedule an appointment by contacting Kristina Wrezel, at (847) 535-7038 or kwrezel@nm.org.
