Somatic Movement Workshop

Join Marjorie Fradin on March 4 for a workshop that will deepen and nourish your connection with your body. The class is open to all members and you are encouraged to register at the front desk.

Somatic movement therapy is a powerful physical modality that enables the brain to “reset” itself from the patterns it has established through years of misalignment. Learn to access forgotten muscles through gentle contractions, slow releases, and mindful integration.

You will not only restore strength, flexibility, and range of motion, but also learn to relieve chronic pain associated with some muscular conditions. It will help you with your golf swing, your tennis serve, and even walking and standing. It’s fully accessible to anyone who can walk, lie down on the floor, roll over, and stand up again; those with limited mobility can participate with modifications.
